Lisa Shorter, MSPT
Owner/Physical Therapist
Lisa is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University of Philadelphia in 1994 with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. She is an active member of the APTA- including the private practice and orthopedic sections. Lisa's approach is based on the importance of truly listening to each patient and performing a thorough evaluation to determine the mechanical imbalances resulting in impairments and dysfunction.
With almost 30 years of experience, she has taken a variety of courses. She believes manual therapy is extremely important in paving the way for decreasing pain and increasing mobility, along with a comprehensive approach to reach each patient's goals.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing, gardening, and adventurous vacations with her family!
Sarah Anderson, DPT
Physical Therapist
Sarah graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park in 2007 and received her Bachelor's in Kinesiology. She attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2011 receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Sarah specializes in helping those with pelvic dysfunction with a whole-body approach. The type of therapy prescribed will depend upon the symptoms you’re experiencing. Evaluations include posture, breath control, as well as hip and back assessments. Some will require relaxing and lengthening of the muscles, while others may require strengthening the muscles.
Living in pain or with pelvic dysfunction can be improved or decreased to allow greater quality of life for all.
Some conditions that can be improved with pelvic floor physical therapy are:
Urinary problems, Urinary leakage, Urinary frequency, Urinary urgency, Painful urination, Interstitial cystitis (IC), Difficulty stopping or starting urinating, Difficulty fully emptying the bladder, Sexual dysfunction, Pelvic organ prolapse, Bowel problems, Fecal leakage, Fecal urgency, Straining, Constipation or painful bowel movements, Pelvic pain, Pain in the genital and/or rectum, Lower abdominal pain, Pain during pregnancy or postpartum, Postoperative care, Diastasis Recti, and C-section scar numbness/pain.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her children, leading her daughter's girl scout troop, and skiing!
Megan Smith, DPT
Physical Therapist
Megan is a local graduate from Huntingtown High School, class of 2007. She graduated from Queens University of Charlotte in 2011 and received her Bachelor's in Psychology. She attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2014 receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). Megan treats a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehab, specializing in vestibular conditions.
After living and working in Northern Virginia for several years, she returned home to Calvert County with her husband to raise their family. She is the proud mom of three children and one very affectionate golden retriever!

Brittany Kaleda, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Brittany graduated from the CACHE (Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education) PTA program at Anne Arundel Community College in 2020 with her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant. She earned The Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Graduate Award in her graduating class. She enjoys treating general orthopedics, post-surgical patients, vestibular rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries.
Brittany is a certified Kinesiology Taping and Myofascial Cupping Practitioner. She earned her certifications through ROCKTAPE in 2022.
She enjoys being active in her free time, such as working out at the gym, wakeboarding/surfing, hiking, traveling, and being with friends and family!

Kristen Smiroldo, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Kristen graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and received her Bachelor's in Exercise Science. She attended Central Penn College receiving her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2017. She enjoys working with a wide variety of populations including the actively aging, pediatrics, general orthopedic, post-surgical, sport-related injuries, and neurological disorders.
Kristen thrives on genuinely encouraging her patients to attain their optimal functional level and creating a safe space to do so.
She enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs in her free time!
